E-commerce Market Research

Market Research Analyst 

Overview: "The future of e-commerce lies in being more intuitive rather than the competition”. Ecommerce, also known as electronic commerce or internet commerce, refers to the buying and selling of goods or services using the internet, and the transfer of money and data to execute these transactions.

Project Objective: The objective of this project was to aid intending e-commerce startups to penetrate the existing market in Nigeria through customer observation data and competitor analysis.

Insights derived: The dashboard created in itself is self-explanatory but a few take away from this is that social media as a marketing tool is underrated and for any e-commerce to thrive, it has to leverage the ever-growing presence of Nigerians across all social platforms, especially YouTube.

Analysis of Nigeria’s alcohol beverage import trade

Research Analyst 

Overview: As in most other societies, alcoholic beverages have been consumed in what is present-day Nigeria for a long time. Before the arrival of western factory-made drinks, alcohol consumption was limited to a variety of beverages produced from palm trees and food grains. But today with a high level of accessibility to trade, Nigeria has leveraged this opportunity to serve its ever-growing population demand for alcoholic beverages, especially for foreign brands.

Project Objective: The objective of this project was to analyze the import trade of alcoholic beverages in Nigeria for 2021. A sequel for this project would be carried out, as the analysis that was done necessitated some questions that require answers.

Conclusion: 

I observed that In 2021, Nigeria imported a total of 16k liters of alcoholic beverage from the Netherlands compared to 64k liters from the Benin Republic at a 94% price decrease.

Though the majority of Nigeria’s Beer imports come from the UK, imports from the Benin Republic to Nigeria are valued at $0.9 per liter compared to $1.5 per liter of beer from the United Kingdom.

EDA of covid-19 in Nigeria 

Role Title

Overview: This project is simply to document is the progress I have made in this learning journey of Data Analytics. The dashboard was largely influenced by ‘Story telling with Data” by Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic.

Project objective: The objective of this project was to analyze the Spread of covid-19 in Nigeria from Its onset to June 2021

Conclusion: Lagos had the highest number of cases closely followed by Oyo state probably due to the population, jam-packed and clustered nature of the cities.

There was substantial increase in the level of recovered cases in the second quarter of the 2021. Experts will say the weather condition of Africa factored. The level of deaths was exponential in the 3rd quarter of 2020.
